Audix (Campus Message Center)

To access the Audix (voice mail) system at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; the user, when on campus must enter the VM# code (86#). If the user is off campus, he/she must dial in to the system - 482-MAIL (482-6245). Once in Audix, the user will be prompted to login:

• Dial your voice messaging system number.
• You may need to dial an extension only, a complete local phone number, or, for long distance, the area code and phone number.(refer to above)
• Enter extension and # sign (if calling from your extension, enter #)
• Enter password and # sign.
• To obtain your initial password for Audix, please follow these instructions:
• If you are Faculty or Staff, call TT#.
• If you are a student, please contact your resident dorm counselor.

Upon logging into the Audix system, the user will be at the Main Activity Menu. Here, the user will be able to select from 6 menu selections:

• Option 1 - Record and Send Messages -
• Press the 1 button on the telephone.
• Option 2 - Get and Respond to Messages -
• Press the 2 button on the telephone.
• Option 3 - Create Personal Grettings -
• Press the 3 button on the telephone.
• Option 4 - Check Outgoing Messages -
• press the 4 button on the telephone.
• Option 5 - Change Password/Create Lists/Personal Directories -
• Press the 5 button on the telephone.
• Option 7 - Scan Messages Quickly -
• Press the 7 button on the telephone.

Here are some basic commands to help you manuever through Audix.
