How to Use OUINET Request Forms
If a OUINET connection is desired, please give us a call
by dialing TT#, or if you are dialing from
off campus dial 482-0088.
An experienced staff
member will assist you in collecting the necessary information required
to establish your connection. Depending on what type of connection is being
requested, various bits of information will be asked of you. This information
is required so that the processing of the request will go as smoothly as
possible.
After processing your request, an informational letter will be sent to you via
campus mail from Information Networks.
This letter is important, please do not misplace it. You may want to file it
along with other computer information you may have.
Listed below are some details on the various forms.
- PPP Request - Point-to-Point-Protocol Request Form
- This form is used to request Internet access via dial-up services.
Will support Netscape, Telnet, FTP, etc.
Software support is not available in Information Networks.
If any support is available, it will be via the
Computing Center Help Desk (25516).
- Available for staff members only.
- Can be used from University Office if your office is not on OUINET.
- No surfing allowed. Access must be used to
support the mission of the University.
- This form generates a follow-up letter.
- HARF Request - Host and Address Request Form
- This form is used to request the assignment of
an IP address for a University computer.
- This is required of all computers attached to the campus network.
